Origins of the winery

Capichera is an Italian wine producing reality that rises in a corner of Sardinia, set among the granite rocks of Gallura, in Arzachena, in a unique natural setting that combines important historical traditions with great charm.

 

A family-run company that in the late 1970s, following a great intuition, it led to an important oenological passage not only in Sardinia: was the first winery to enhance the aging in Vermentino barrels in purity with remarkable success, proposing a model based on a high quality production and continuous research through a respectful and rigorous viticulture of the identity of the territory, allowing this variety of reveal its great peculiarities and characteristics.

 

Many authoritative critics of the sector affirm today that the history of Capichera is the history of quality Vermentino.

The passion, the investment of large resources and the improvement of the production model over the years have defined new and high quality standards, with a priority attention for each sigle vineyard, enhancing its characteristics.

This development process has led over time to obtain innovative and exclusive results not only on Vermentino but also on Carignano and Syrah, giving life to very high profile red wines, strongly identifying with the Gallura territory and united by the same production philosophy.
